FAQs

Are you accepting new clients?

1

Yes! I am currently accepting new clients who are residents of Texas. Once a week or once every other week is the typical appointment cadence for therapeutic work to continue to progress. Sessions are held virtually. You can visit my services page for more information, and use the appointments page to book a complimentary consultation.

What is therapy like with you?

2

The first few sessions are intentionally exploratory - a chance to build a relationship that feels natural and unhurried, and to identify what areas of your life are calling for attention. From there, sessions take the shape that serves you. Some weeks we follow a thread from the weeks before. Other times something more immediate takes center stage. The path isn’t linear; it's meant to fit your life, not the other way around. My style is warm, curious, and collaborative. I show up as a real person in the room with you.

Do you take insurance?

3

My services are private pay only for several reasons. This structure allows me to reach a broader range of clients, provide services without restraints around session limits and claims denials, and focus on client care over the diagnoses and disclosures that are more heavily emphasized in the traditional medical model. The flexibility of private pay also grants me the opportunity to provide affordable pricing and accessible therapy via reduced rate options (limited availability).

Can you connect with other providers?

4

Absolutely! In fact, a collective approach to mental health creates meaningful and robust support. Clients can sign a Release of Information, allowing me to coordinate care across psychiatry, dietetics, previous therapists, and other providers.

What does Sankalpa mean?

5

Sankalpa (sahn-KAHL-pah) is a Sanskrit word meaning heartfelt intention; not a goal set from ambition or obligation, but a truth uncovered from the deepest layer of who you are. It's the belief that you already possess everything you need. Click to learn more about the philosophy and its embodiment in my background.
